Testing

Neuropsychology is a specialized field of psychology that focuses on how the brain impacts thinking and behavior. Common referral questions that would bring someone in for testing include: "Am I starting to get Alzheimer's?", "What is the impact of my brain injury?", and "Is my depression causing memory loss?" I also frequently work on forensic cases to determine the impact of an individual's cognitive abilities on their behavior within a legal context. Similarly, these evaluations are also commonly used in disability or worker's compensation cases. Testing sessions typically include a background interview to understand your specific situation and concerns, a comprehensive evaluation of your current thinking skills, and detailed feedback to provide suggestions for following up. I currently provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessment through my group practice, Insight Neuropsychology.
